Cosford Food Festival

Fine food and flying machines!

A tasty line-up of over 80 local producers will be heading to this year’s Cosford Food Festival, which promises to serve up the very best food and drink the Midland’s has to offer. Popular favorites on the food festival scene, as well as brand new local producers are all on-board for this year’s festival, which takes place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July.

Held in the spacious grounds at the RAF Museum Cosford, with the VC10 and Hercules aircraft acting as a backdrop to the bustling food market, organisers have also lined up delicious food for visitors to enjoy at the festival. Serving up flavours from around the world, the diverse menu will include everything from Indian, Italian and French cuisine to a taste of the Caribbean with Cuban and Mexican food to tempt visitors. Gourmet burgers, flame grilled chicken and ribs will also be on offer and for those with a sweet tooth, why not sample some of the traditional dairy ice creams, waffles, crêpes, milkshakes or smoothies?

Visitors can learn from local chefs during live cooking demonstrations which include special guest Great British Bake Off contestant Beca Lyne-Pirkis. Famous for her modern twists on family favourites and cooking for her husband’s regiment and local Military Wives Choir, Beca will be live on the demo stage both days.

Festival goers will also be treated to a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Dakota flypast on Saturday 22 July (weather permitting). Plus, visitors can sit back and enjoy live music including performances from Cosford and Shawbury Military Wives Choir and the 1940s vintage vocal harmony trio The Bluebird Bells.

With plenty of entertainment for the entire family taking place over the whole weekend, including cookery classes, pottery workshops, face painting, circus skills and an under 5’s play bus, it is sure to be a great day out!
