Headlining this year’s event will be the stunning British soprano Mary-Jess who shot to fame winning the Chinese version of the ‘X-Factor’ in 2008. Since then Mary-Jess has performed at the FA Cup Final, on numerous British TV programmes and has recorded tracks for the Downton Abbey album and Rugby World Cup Album, as well as releasing her own award-winning album, Shine.
Joining Mary-Jess will be String Infusion, a fabulous all-female string quartet known for their acoustic and electric string performances. This striking foursome are well-known for their pop/rock/classical crossover style and are just as at home performing an Oasis hit as an excerpt from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons! They've performed with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, on the X-Factor and at the O2 Arena. We’re really looking forward to their high energy performance which is sure to involve a few surprises!
One of last year’s most popular performers, tenor Jack Foley will be returning to this year’s Proms & Prosecco in the Park, by popular demand, to perform West End and classical favourites.
We are also continuing our tradition of inviting local performers to be part of the line-up, providing a platform for some of the outstanding talent. We'll be sharing further details about this and the rest of the line up very soon.
With a varied line up of performers, there is sure to be something for everyone, so gather together your family and friends and join us for a relaxed afternoon, enjoying some of the most popular classical music in a stunning setting.
