Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity and our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.

Cats are at the centre of everything we do and our objectives are: homing, neutering and educating people about cats and their care.

We help thousands of cats across the UK each year thanks to our network of dedicated volunteers, staff and supporters.

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. To make sure this is the case, we provide support and guidance both remotely from our National Cat Centre and face to face through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams.

We also offer varied online and face to face training and have wide-ranging policies covering all aspects of volunteering including expenses. We hope the support we provide will ensure our volunteers have a great experience with Cats Protection.

Telford & District Cats Protection looks after the welfare of cats in the Telford area and also some surrounding areas in Shropshire such as Newport, Shifnal, Much Wenlock and Market Drayton (all TF postcodes). We are run entirely by volunteers.

Our branch is not a rescue centre; our cats are cared for either by volunteers in their own homes, or occasionally in a veterinary practice.

Our team of volunteers:
-Foster cats until they are ready for homing
-Find suitable homes for our cats
-Provide neutering vouchers for cats whose owners are on benefits
-Loan out traps for the neutering of ferals
-Provide a Lost & Found line to reunite cats with their owners
-Organise stalls and other events to raise money to run the branch

Our current opportunities include: Lost and Found Volunteer, Shop Assistant Volunteer, Volunteer Fosterer,Volunteer Treasurer, Volunteer Home visitor, Volunteer Website Editor, Volunteer Fundrasier.
